Something Rotten!
A Co-Production of the Departments of Music and Theatre & Dance
Book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Music and Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, Conceived by Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick
"Something Rotten! has established itself as Broadway’s funniest, splashiest, slap-happiest musical comedy in at least 400 years.” – Time Out New York
Welcome to the Renaissance and this joyous musical farce. Struggling London playwrights, Nick and Nigel Bottom, are desperate for a hit, but all anyone is talking about is that rock-star, The Bard. After consulting a local soothsayer, they think they’ve finally found the solution. “Do a play where the actors talk, sing, and dance, sometime all at once.” It’s time to invent THE MUSICAL, and finally put that insufferable Shakespeare in his place! A crazy love song to all things Broadway.
