by Neil Simon

In Kulyenchikov, the villagers sell flowers as fish and milk their cows upside down to get more cream. What’s a brand new schoolteacher to do? Eager young Leon shows up for his first job and discovers a town under a curse: everyone in the town is utterly, hopelessly stupid. Including Sophia, the newfound love of his life. The good news is that if he can educate her within 24 hours, the curse will be broken! The bad news is that if he can’t, he’s going to become yet another victim. Everyone has something to learn in this lighthearted comedy by Neil Simon, the playwright known as our “patron saint of laughter.”
